Configuration is the adaptation surface
Thresholds, routing rules and tolerances belong in configuration that a named owner can change under review. That is what allows a system to follow the business without a development cycle for every adjustment.
Feedback proposes; people decide
Operating data shows where exceptions cluster and where a rule is too tight. That evidence enters a backlog and a review, not the production configuration directly. The loop is real, and it passes through a person.
Reversibility keeps adaptation safe
Every change is versioned and can be withdrawn. When reversal is routine, teams adapt more readily, because a wrong adjustment is an inconvenience rather than an incident.
